Joe Dixon – Director of Support for Sport/Counsellor

  • Level 1 Counselling Learning to Listen Qualified
  • Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Qualified
  • Currently undertaking a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

Joe has been a High Performance Tennis Coach for the last 12 years, including 6 years at the prestigious SotoTennis Academy, Sotogrande, Spain.

During that time Joe has worked with Tennis Europe, ITF Juniors, ATP and WTA ranked players as well as Davis and Fed Cup players and travelled to tournaments all over the world.

Joe is also a qualified Counsellor having taken both his Level 1 "Learning to Listen" and Level 2 "Certificate in Counselling" qualifications and is currently working towards a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

Joe founded Support for Sport in 2019 in order to provide a support network for athletes who are struggling in aspects of their mental wellbeing, an often overlooked and undervalued area of performance.

Trevor Munro-Clark – Director of Support for Sport/Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist

Trevor has over 20 years' experience working within the NHS and private health settings, both in his home country of New Zealand and his adopted country of the UK.

Trevor has considerable experience applying CBT to a broad range of clinical presentations including Depression, Anxiety Disorders including severe PTSD, Psychosis and Personality Disorders. He has co–authored published papers in CBT research.

Trevor also provides clinical supervision and lecturing on psychological interventions to a wide range of professionals in the NHS as well as private and charitable sectors.

Trevor also has a long standing specialist interest in working with clients experiencing self–esteem and performance issues within sport. He is excited to be able to offer an Integrative Psychological approach, utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness and the Visualisation techniques from positive Memory Training, both in workshops and Individual Therapy.
